I did not know that, in fact I had concluded just the opposite. Seems like any dithiol would be " sulfur-y " and I know wine is so I concluded, perhaps incorrectly that this sulfur loading caused a yeast flare up. > > towards the end of my rounds my bowels certainly behave as if I am dosing regularly with Epsom salts > > TK--- dmps can do this for certain individuals and at different times > >> Has anyone else experienced similar? > > TK--- yes it is the dmps for me. > > Dinner at 8:30 was whole grain DeBoles pasta " TK---pasta is not recommended if you have yeast problems, you need to cut out simple carbs like this to help keep it under control. " " TK---wine has sulfites in it that can cause bad reactions for some of us. Brocoli is a high sulfer food. A lot of us that are toxic can not handle alcohol as it is too much for our overburdened livers. Stop drinking especially while chelating. " FYI. I have tolerated both the DeBoles and very occasional red wine with dinner very well since beginning chelation. DeBoles is, for pasta, very low on the glycemic index due to the use of whole grain and jerusalem artichoke (converts to inulin not insulin). I am certain that I have not had a chronic yeast overgrowth issue but have recently been noticing some symptoms consistent with yeast overgrowth. I cannot help feeling that it was the TIMING of the DMPS so close to wine. Also curious about the role of copper. If DMPS enhances copper excretion then what type of reactions would be possible if copper levels became critically low? Could this have played a role in your opinion? Thank you for the prompt response. Maybe it's time to give myself a little break and then try 3 days on, 7 off for a while. Doug

TK--- unless you have done testing for pathogen overgrowth you may never know and the side effects are very similar to Hg side effects. > > I cannot help feeling that it was the TIMING of the DMPS so close to > wine. > Also curious about the role of copper. Guest guest
TK " Unless you have done testing for pathogen overgrowth you may never know and the side effects are very similar to Hg side effects. " I have not had the testing for Candida (and other) overgrowth done recently. I did have it done while still with a mouthful of amalgams and showed normal to low levels of all pathogens. At that time my doctor eliminated candida as primary cause of symptoms.
