I know you started at 25mg and then went to 50, but did you stay with 25mg increases after that or go to 50? So, was it 25, 50, 75, 100 or 25, 50, 100? It sounds like you take the whole dose in the morning, is that correct? I'm glad you mentioned that you're now at 1000 and really starting to notice it work. Did you start ACE at the same time you started the other adrenal support vits (B/C etc)? Or did you start them first and the ACE later? Low and slow for sure!! Guest guest
Sunshine, I'm thinking of starting ACE as well. My first few rounds (3 so far) have really fatigued me a lot. What is the brand you are using? > > Same happened to me with ACE (and my saliva tests came up very low > too, especially in the morning.) So, was > it 25, 50, 75, 100 or 25, 50, 100? -------------ACE: I started at 25mg, then 10 days later moved to 50mg, after that I moved up each time by 50mg's every 7-10 days. Each time I got impatient and pushed it up higher than 50mg's, my temps went up and they stabilised a little bit more for a short time, but then other reactions happened that outweighed the benefits and made me sick, so I was forced to back down again. These pushes, even though they made me sick, they did show me that I was on the right track. I believe I have had adrenal fatigue for most of my life, my temp has always been below normal, so when the ace dose is pumped up too quickly my body could not handle the extra hormones, it's not used to them and my body needed time to adapt. (I'm assuming this, I did ask in Yahoo FDC in December and this was the best idea we could come up with. Dr. P thought this was correct too.) I monitor my temps daily and I have found this monitoring essential to keep my interest and it's plainly obvious the temps perfectly reflect how I feel in real life. The higher they are, the more stable they, are the better I feel. During the last 4 months I had various…..ermmm…various health mini- crisis's…like a bad chelation round and other things that hurt me and made me ill. I noticed that whenever I had a problem my temps dived and the stability was completely lost….until I recovered and then went back to how they where before the mini crisis. In the last 6 weeks, this happened 3 times, I decided to increase the ACE dose by more than the 50mg at those times of most need. It was a calculated risk. I pumped up by 100mg those times and the last problem 2 weeks ago I upped the dose by 250mg to 1000mg's. I feel this help me recover a little quicker. After 4 months of continually increasing the dose my body is obviously now able to handle the extra hormones. Yesterday was the highest daily average temp I have ever had….a 36.6. the day before was 36.5. That's 3 temps taken at 9am, noon and 3pm and averaged. > > It sounds like you take the whole dose in the morning, is that correct? -------------Dosing times: yes, I dose all in the morning. When I initially started dosing , I was dosing morning, noon, and dinner and no way could I sleep at night…I very quickly realised the ACE was doing this and stopped the evening dose. But it was only when I stopped the lunchtime dose that my sleeping went back to normal. I have not retested this now that I'm on 1000mg's. I feel that it is worth a try to maybe dose 750mg at breakfast and 250mg at lunch…but have not tried this yet. > > I'm glad you mentioned that you're now at 1000 and really starting to > notice it work. Did you start ACE at the same time you started the > other adrenal support vits (B/C etc)? Or did you start them first and > the ACE later? -----------No….i had been on Cutler style supplements for 3-4 months already when I started the ACE. Interestingly I recently stopped all my supplements, except the ACE and Kelp, to see if I really needed them….and I was rewarded with a huge drop in temp, wildly unstable temps and feeling like rough as hell. Upon restarting the supplements my temps came up and stabilised and came back to normal. A good experiment….shows i need all those supplements, they defo help me. Everything Cutler has said has so far turned out to be correct. Don't stray from the protocol! :-) Sunshine

Then I was taking 10 a day it was getting expensive so I switched brands to what Cutler said was ok, many other people on Yahoo FDC also seem to be using the same… " Nutricology " Allergy Research Group, Adrenal Cortex, 100 Capsules – these have 250mg Adrenal Cortex tissue(bovine) in them. I get them from iherb.com Sunshine
