Guest guest
I understand exactly how you feel! It's amazing how much better we move and breathe with a bit of air. Guest guest
, I want to know what type of O2 you use. I never feel like dancing after housework. To be honest I never feel like doing housework. I'm glad you finally got the O2, but don't overexert yourself. Guest guest
, Your post brought back memories of the overwhelming relief I felt when the paramedics put the oxygen on me in my living room that Memorial Day three years ago. It was only the very beginning of a difficult hospitalization but I will never forget how that oxygen felt. It's so simple really, give our body what it needs and it's quite willing to function to the best of it's ability. Amazing huh? Guest guest
Beth The first time the difference really hit me was the treadmill. I had been trying to get started back for 18 months and yet I couldn't get past ten minutes before complete exhaustion. But, it was being old and out of shape. Well, after oxygen, I got on mine. I set the oxygen at 3 lpm and started walking at 1.5 mph. Easy. So 2 mph. Still easy. I was shocked and amazed. I tried 2.5 mph, sats dropped a little. So, I turned it to 4 lpm and then 2.5 mph. Still no problem. First time was 30 minutes and it wasn't hard at all. Then I wished I'd known long ago and been on oxygen. Also, helped to explain so many other things. The one person who had always been convinced there was a physical problem that was not being detected was my counselor. In fact, my neurologist had sent me for more testing to UTSW. Well, turned out she was right, but it was breathing. > > , > Your post brought back memories of the overwhelming relief I felt when the paramedics put the oxygen on me in my living room that Memorial Day three years ago.
