Guest guest
Well guys, I went to my primary yesterday. I saw a nurse practioner. (first mistake) I made a list of all the things I needed to ask about. I went through everything. She says she agrees that I should ge the flu shot while I'm there. I haven't had any prednisone for 2 weeks and so it'd be ok to do it. I'm still trying to find a pain management clinic that no only accepts my ins. but prescribes pain meds. My doc agrees that I need them. But, doesn't feel comfortable writing for them because of liability concerns. I've already been to the oly 2 in the area that accept my ins. neither write but have sent recomendations to my doc says to write for me. My doc STILL won't write. I think I've found a clinic that will write and now I need to find out if they accept my ins. So, anyhow, the NP rushes out of the room before I have a chance to ask her the last few questions. She never tells the nurse to give me the flu shot. So, I had to chase her down to get her to order it. I ask her about this mess on my legs. She says wear compression stockings during the day and take them off at night. I ask her what about the rash and painful swollen shots on them. She says let's get the pain clinic part done first and walks away. She told me she'd give me 80 percocet to last me for 20 days while I check into the newest clinic. I leave the office and I'm heading home whem I realize the script says 80 hydrocodone not oxycodone. Hydro is vicodin and oxy is percocet. I call and the secretary says I'll put a message back and they call you later. I tell her no, I have no car and have no way to get back up to the office later. (percocet requires a paper script, can't be phoned in) So, I go back and she makes me wait 20 minutes before she comes out w/ the corrected script. I leave then realize that she wrote it for 60 not 80. By then I was so beat and I could barely walk. I just went home. I know, once again, I've rambled on. LOL I just get so mad. I think it's time for a new primary doc. Maybe I'll just look into getting a primary at Beth Israel also. Looks like I'll be asking for a pulmodude there. I'm I wrong for being upset about my primary visit yesterday? Nan 49, MA List started '84 RB-ILD '04 PF '08 Asthma '
