Guest guest
Like everyone on the list - I can only feel shock at what has happened. An ex-colleague was staying nearby in NYC - but she is fine. I came home last night after a meal out, just as the news was breaking. Watched CNN/ BBC world/ SKY and obscure new channels until 1 a.m. and then went to bed, but just couldn't get to sleep. I had awful images going through my head. DS1(9) has been quite distressed at times, but they have talked it through at school. He came home saying that he thought it was the palestinians - because they were laughing and celebrating that it had happened. So we had a long talk about feelings and how things are never clear cut, but came to the conclusion that killing people is never the answer. I have found it quite hard to explain, why anyone should want to do this - mainly because I can't understand it - WHY, WHY, WHY? Then at work we have talked about nothing else and I am feeling quite exhausted and drained. The following Nostradamus quote is doing the rounds here: " In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb , The third big war will begin when the big city is burning " - Nostradamus 654 I know that it is very easy to make his predictions fit all sorts of things - but it makes for an interesting comparison doesn't it? My thoughts and prayers are for all those poor people. Debbie Slater Perth, WA - and glad she's here
