The first session of cpt-11 was not bad but the second was horrible. I am still sick 2 weeks from treatment. The diarrhea and vomiting have been awful. I had to go twice for fluids then went for a head ct because the dr thought I had brain mets I was so sick. I lost 12 lbs so far. I am able to eat a bit now but still have the diar. and occassional vomiting. I am due for another treatment next week and do not know if I will do it. I want to move near my family but can't get packed if I am so sick. My 15yo just moved out to be with her father. That was a hard thing to do but it is for the best. I want to liquidate my household but need to be stronger to do that. I am positive, I do not think I am ready to go yet but when you get so sick it is hard to keep thinking that way. Prayer and faith help tremendously. So does hearing how gracious others on the list are like Narice and Donnell. They give me tremendous strength. Thank you all. Jane Oh, Jane... I so wish I could be closer to you and help you.... can't imagine having to go through all this by yourself. Maybe since you are still so sick, they will give you a chemo " vacation " for another week, so you can gain some strength. The diarrhea and vomiting alone will make you just terribly weak. Are you drinking tons of water to flush out the chemo and gatorade?? Your electrolytes have to be off!! You are a tough cookie...and I so admire you. Not sure I have any strength left to share right now, sweetie...but am sending tons of positive thoughts...and you will be in the top 5 on my prayer list tonite!!! Where are you and where is your family?? Can someone come help you?? I just want to crawl in to this computer and come to your house!!! Hate it when I am a helpless!!! Guest guest
I am with Donelle on this Jane. The B's need to visit Jane and help her out here. If only we could hop in the car and head her way. Well it might do you more good to take another week to get yourself feeling better before they do another round of chemo. If it is that hard on you, they should adjust the meds a bit... You are in my prayers. Big Hugs and Prayers Jolene Re: Re: Having a Bad Time/Jane In a message dated 11/28/2005 10:56:26 PM Eastern Standard Time, joshua1v9@... writes: It is so difficult sometimes to stay positive.
