Guest guest
, You neglected to mention you YOU are doing...update please?!! I've been thinking of you. I'm fine and yes have been officially discharged from the swine flu "pig pen" a couple of weeks ago. Working my way back to normal levels on the treadmill. I'm still finding I get tired more easily but a bit better every day. Still reeling from the two members we've lost in the last week or so but that comes with the territory unfortunately. Please tell us how you are doing my friend! Peggy: lots of love & encouragement to you..Bruce said it so well...yesterday I was sitting in my backyard with the Sistas jumping on & off my lap & I just looked up to our fresh, crisp, blue. BLUE clear Winter sky.. a jet flying overhead to somewhere & I just gasped in wonder at the sheer magificance of it all! The simplest things can bring the greatest joy of all! Music is the other one that truly does IT for me! Bruce: thank you for being such a BRICK on this board as per usual...really you do put in the extra effort to help out the newbies....I' m curious as to how things are settling in your new quarters...do you enjoy the ambience of your new neighborhood. .IS it a 'neighborhood' or is it an amalgamation of hidden folk?????? Beverly: sorry that you're having such a rough time trying to sell your house & deal with your health stuff...I guess this is a difficult time to be selling....you are between a ROCK & Hard place with it all! Sher: OMG you have a big decision to make with the pred....take care & think long n' hard on that one! So pleased that you've got to Section 8 (LOL..it DOES sound a wee bit 'dodgy' 'SECTION 8'......HAH! ) I'll be watching for movement news....I DOoo like to help with shifting.... easy lifting in cyberspace! Beth: I take it you're much better & you're officially out ofthe PigPen...have you heard that it's spreading so fast In Oz that we're likely to cause the WHO to declare a Pandemic..the Hot Zone here is in Melbourne where I just spent the long-weekend at a family wedding.. so far so good! Ginny: I read you flying post with alarm...take good notice of all that Beth has advised you. I fly quite a bit & I'm about to start using O2 even on Domestic flights ...I've been monitoring my O2 & I drop to 85 when the plane reaches its highest altitude. I don't use O2 regularly but have just been advised to start using it when I'm particularly active ie cutting my Hedge...weeding the garden...housework etc) Previous to this I knew I needed it for long-haul flights. On this last flight to Melbourne the Head Flight Attendant approached me to say the Hosties had noticed the oximeter on my finger & she wanted to know what it was about. She said to buzz them anytime I felt the need for O2 as they carried plenty of spare bottles on board & that'd it'd be a free service if I ever need it. I was very surprised that, first, they'd noticed the oximeter & second, that they were so helpful since it was the low-cost budget arm of our Qantas Company (you pay for everything you use...it costs extra to book bags through....food costs extra etc etc) Geeta: I noted that you've been out on PH medication.. .I hope it makes a difference for you. Feeling fatigued all the timne is very wearing. I think of you a lot as India is on our news all the time. I guess you;ve been hearing the reports of Indian students having trouble in Sydney with racial attacks. There are so so many ethnic groups living close to each other in Sydney that often tension from their home countries spill over here. There seem to be youths of Lebanese & other Middle Eastern groups that are involved with the Indian students. The Indain students are now actively fighting back which has escalated the problem Very worrying for their parentsw back in India. The authorities & communbity group leaders are scratching their heads & trying to figure out the best way of defusing the situation. My brain has gone BLANK now..I'll pick up some more later....... Guest guest
...I will discuss pred w/doc tomorrow... What do they call subsidized housing in "your land"??? We already have a place in mind and will see the apts. tomorrow. Guess it must be time to move because everything is falling in place so nicely. AND, about 5 minutes from Lysa. Couldn't be better. Guest guest
In Oz, subsidised Housing is run by the Govt 'Housing Commission'....being 'Sectioned' in Oz means being placed in a Mental Health Facility without your consent (it takes a process called 'Scheduling' to have that happen...a Court Order to recognise that a person is considered a danger to themselves or to other people!) Glad that it's all fallng into place for you & Rich..Lysa will be pleased too no doubt! Guest guest
Many prayers for you and . God Bless. Jackie Catching Up Seems like I have been away for awhile. I have missed birthday wishes and updates on the group. I am finally catching up on e-mails. Been a rough patch here since Easter for . Seems the meds may have gone into a failure and she had a series of seizures. The question still remains as to whether that marvelous time of the month for women caused any of the problem. It may just be a coincidence but the two issues seemed to arrive together. We are a bit better now, but the whole situation has made me a bit edgy as to what we do. The doctor did not seem to connect the two when I notified them of the problems and they have taken a wait & see attitude. I am just afraid that if it is a brewing issue then we can expect more of the same in a few weeks and I do not want her to suffer in this manner. Hope everyone is doing ok. At least the weather here on the East coast is starting to be spring like.Matt
