When the kids and I started ALA after DMSA only, we just did ALA + DMSA instead

of ALA

alone.

Some people find it helpful to do the last couple doses of the round with DMSA

only.

We shifted to a 3 hour timing on the doses because of the ALA, that is, take

them both at the

same time at 3 hour intervals.

If you are taking DMSA for lead, of course you need to keep taking it. If you

don't need

DMSA for lead, you can see how you feel with ALA only. I happen to prefer the

way ALA only

rounds feel. Not everyone feels that way.

I don't have any experience with putting the doses in liquids. We just pop

pills.
