Depression after Round 1 - advice please

Hi,

I posted a few days ago to say I had started round 1 and had abdominal

pain etc but no-one replied. I also have very bad pain around my rib

cage, particularly the left side. I have fibromyalgia and CFS so it's

hard to tell if it's that or the chelation.

I thought all was going ok after just finishing the round then

depression hit me similar to what Jaco said in a recent post.

Yesterday I went through a phase of crying, angry, frustration. Before

I started chelation I had stabilised myself and adrenals for quite a

while so I guess it's the mercury effects.

When I had some of my fillings removed (unfortunately - unsafely) in

2006, the day after I felt just like I do now but it lasted all day,

every day.

I have just started astragalus 400mg twice a day as from yesterday

evening to help support my adrenals during chelation and increased my

dose of High Five B vit complex so I am now getting 600mg of B5 in my

complex.

I am due to start my next round of DMSA 12.5mg tomorrow but am a

little scared as I woke up this morning in a positive mood thinking

today would go great then all of a sudden without reason - depression

sets in and I cant stop crying - it prob lasts for about an hour each

time and feels uncontrollable. I guess I should lower the dosage but

have just ordered the 6.5mg DMSA capsules but they wont arrive for

maybe a week.

As I am still waiting for the AI book to arrive after 4 weeks, can

someone please tell me if it would make any difference if I started on

12.5 and then went down to 6.5 after the first day or if I have to

keep the same dose per round? Maybe the extra adrenal support will be

enough and I don't need to lower the dose?

Thanks,

Josie

Hi Josie

For pain, often a castor oil pack is very helpful.

Also, with fibrolyalgia thyroid support is very important, along with

magnesium and taurine.

Most side effects come during the first few rounds of chelation, when a dose

is too high, when there is adrenal and thyroid support missing, and when a

supplement is missing.

I found that often when I stopped a round I stopped dosing my vitamins and

minerals throughout the day and that affected me badly.

Sometimes I would just continue the round with vitamins and minerals rather

than stopping cold turkey.

The two days after a round are usually worse because of the redistribution.

Taking extra Vit E and Fish oils may help.

How many rounds have you done and at what dose?

Well, that in itself is confirmation that what you are feeling is due to

mercury.

Best to lower the dose and chelate consistently rather than be on a dose

that is too high and causes discomfort.

Adrenal glandulars are also advised. They are very, very helpful for most.

Yes, you need to keep the dose the same as fluctuation in blood levels will

cause more problems than before.

Lowering your dose is not such a bad thing at all.

It will make it much more pleasant. Too high a dose stresses the adrenals,

and you don't want to stress tired adrenals and mask their tiredness with

extra adrenal support.

It is going to take a long time to chelate, so rather do it slowly and

safely.
