I have read that taking iodine can be a very bumpy ride. You may have to increase or decrease any thyroid meds you're taking. Adding iodine will probably not lead to immediate stability. So maybe keep that in mind if you want to try 's protocol?? Also, if the iodine raises your progesterone levels, you need to be careful with how much P you are supplementing with. (Nothing is easy, is it?) If you do decide to try iodine, despite the cheers of the iodine mega dosers on the internet, I urge you to start very low and work up slowly. You can get an iodine product by NOW at iHerb which has 225 mcg in one tablet. Start with that, and add another in a week or so, etc. If and when you get up there in the dosage, Standard Process makes a product with 3 mg. Another area to consider exploring is hidden food intolerances and/or infections. The presence of these can throw off hormones. Have you been tested for gluten intolerance?
