Guest guest
After writing this I did another search and got more information; sounds like maybe it's too much to do? and to be very careful... I looked into the blister packs for methylprednisolone becausue finally it's something my insurance would actually cover and the way they're laid out it might be useful. Is this something people here have found helpful? As I mentioned, my biggest problem since chelation has been adrenal exhaustion and chemical sensitivity. I've always used adrenalin and cortisol incorrectly, gobbled it up! and now, when I need it most, it's almost all gone. Nada. The HC and ACE are helping but, in reading AI, I couldn't help but wonder if maybe the tapers would be just the thing. I'm more careful now and would use extra energy wisely. ~robin
Guest guest
Robin, if you are going to see pretty soon, you could wait and talk to her about it, because I know she's familiar with doing tapers. She had me do a HC taper after seeing her last year.------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation robin wrote: I'm paradoxical adrenal response & interested in a prednisolone taper. Page 191 AI explains tapers but I'm trying to figure out how to tell this simply to my doctor so he can order the stuff. I assume it's Rx. He's not familiar with Andy's work but has worked with me long enough to trust my judgment. I think he'll order this if I can just explain how to write it on the label. I am 120 lbs so fit in the first catagory " For a 50kg person " . It looks like I need him to order 119 5mg tablets but I'm stumped after that. ~robin

Surely a taper does not correct long-standing adrenal problems, it just deals with fatigue, right? But low dose HC use is able to rest and allow repair of adrenals (coupled with the use of a glandular I believe). So did one follow the other, or was it a once-off taper and then no more HC? I can't remember your response to it? Oh, and was it a 5 day taper or longer? Thanks, Dean
