Guest guest
Hello everybody. I have done 17 rounds ALA(12.5;25;33 mg) and 5 round DMSA(25mg). Digestion has improved and my mind is far more clear. I could have done many more rounds, but getting up every 3 hours just really makes me tired. DMPS has a half life that is about 7-8 hours. This would be great for me, because then I could get good sleep while chelating. This way I can chelate a lot more. The problem is that I don't have a prescription. I live in the Netherlands and I am certain that no doctor here will give me a prescription. Is there a way I can get DMPS from USA without prescription? I have read about a product called ''Mercout'' which has DMPS in it, but it requires no prescription. Not that I want to use this product. I need DMPS with a hypoallergenic filler. I have some nasty allergies. If anybody can help/advise me with this issue I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance. Guest guest
Unfortunately DMPS requires a prescription as well both in the US and Canada. Note that if you do DMPS+ALA instead of DMSA+ALA, you still have to dose every 3 hours for the ALA... Mercout is 30 x 130mg pills DMPS for $300. They don't look easy to split. They could not tell me on the phone if there were additional ingredients other than DMPS, which does not inspire confidence! http://www.mercout.com/product.php?productid=4 & cat=9 & page=1 However they are located in New Zealand, where DMPS does not require a prescription. Perhaps you could find a compounding pharmacy there that would ship to you. There is also a pharmacy in Armenia that will sell you 100 100mg DMPS caps for $1350. http://www.consultdrminas.com/index.php?cnt=3 & sub=24 The problem with the above is fillers and quality are not tested . Use at your own risk. Personally, I find it scary, as I have no knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory conditions in Armenia. And remember, cheltation is a marathon, not a horse race! >Hello everybody. > >I have done 17 rounds ALA(12.5;25;33 mg) and 5 >round DMSA(25mg). They have for me before. I believe their additional supplements (not the DMPS) have a lot of different things in them you would not want to take. I'm not sure about the DMPS itself. I don't know what they fill it with. > However they are located in New Zealand, where DMPS does not require > a prescription. Not sure if they will ship international. I would be surprised, but you could always ask. Alternatively, hope a flight to Seattle (you can probably go direct on KLM for a decent price in the winter) and visit . -Ed

I don't know what they fill it with. Yes, the " AM capsules " contain ALA, NAC, cysteine, and some other ingredients. You would want to skip those entirely. --
Guest guest
Thank you everybody for answering. Ok. So I understand that getting DMPS without prescription is impossible in the US. Is it possible for a US doctor to prescribe me DMPS which can then be sent to me in the Netherlands? Does anybody know such a doctor which prescribes DMPS? I can't come to the US unfortunately. Maybe online consultation or something? Anybody know how much this might cost? All the supps I am using are already quite expensive, but what can I do. I must pay to get healthy. I will email the New Zealand pharmacy. Let you guys know if they will compound and ship internationally without prescription. Thanks in advance for help/advise. Guest guest
Hi again. I was just checking the ingredient list of this ''Mercout''. Here it is: http://www.mercout.com/skin1/images/supplement_facts.gif The ''Mercout'' package includes AM and PM capsules. The AM capsules contain stuff like MSM, NAC, which both redistribute mercury. The PM capsules seem to be pure DMPS, although I assume there is always a filler used. I will email them what the filler is. Anyway so the Mercout program has 30 times 125 mg DMPS which is if I still can calculate with all this mercury in my body 3.75 grams total. This amount for 300 dollars. So one milligram is 0.08 dollars. I have read that at falls pharmacy 100 capsules DMPS each 50 mg is 207 dollars. So that is 5 grams total for 207 dollars, which means 0.414 dollars per milligram. So buying from this pharmacy is about half the price, but you do need a prescription. Let's say I would buy mercout. If I would use 25 mg DMPS every 6 hours that would mean I need 100 mg a day, so about 300 mg per round(3 days). So the mercout package would be enough for 3750 mg/300mg is about 12-13 rounds. Probably 15 rounds or so because I would start at a lower dose. So 20 bucks for a round of chelating with DMPS, lol! That would be about 6 times or so more expensive than chelating with ALA at the same dosage! For health you need to pay. Let me know what you guys think. Most people who consult with in Seattle only visit her once, then correspond via email and phone.
Guest guest
Dear . I have been using ALA for 17 rounds now. I have also used DMSA 5 rounds. I want to use DMPS because I can get good quality sleep. I unfortunately have a lot of difficulty waking up to take the ALA. Sometimes I wake up an hour later because my head starts pounding(redistribution). I was thinking about doing 15 or 20 rounds DMPS and then starting ALA again. I also have too much copper. So DMPS is a good choice as it chelates copper as well without decreasing billiary excretion of it which ALA does. I have only done 22 rounds of chelating in one year and 2 months. If I had been using DMPS, I would have done probably 40 rounds or more because DMPS has a long half life so I can sleep better. If you are correct in that ALA increases mercury excretion by 1200% and DMPS only 30%, that means that using ALA for a round is the same as using DMPS for 40 rounds or so. I don't think this is correct . I don't think people would use DMPS if it would excrete so little mercury. I might be wrong though. Guest guest
Hi Ali, > > Dear . > > I have been using ALA for 17 rounds now. I have That's great! Keep using it. > also used DMSA 5 rounds. Sleep deprivation is one of the reasons people take days OFF between rounds. > I unfortunately have a lot of difficulty waking up to > take the ALA. Sometimes I wake up an hour later because > my head starts pounding(redistribution). It is recommended to stop the round if you miss a dose for more than one hour. Some people do better taking ALA more often. It helps with the redistribution issues you comment on. > > I was thinking about doing 15 or 20 rounds DMPS and then > starting ALA again. I also have too much copper. So DMPS > is a good choice as it chelates copper as well without > decreasing billiary excretion of it which ALA does. You can take a break from ALA as long as you eventually resume it. For copper issues, please read page 256 of Hair Test Interpretation. Depending on you copper level, you should restrict ALA chelation somewhat. You should reduce your copper intake avoiding meals high in copper and reduce copper absorption using zinc and molybdenum. In HTI it is also said that it is convenient to increase bile flow using taurine, glycine, milk thistle and phosphatidylcholine with meals. DMPS is not the option of choice for copper. See http://onibasu.com/archives/am/19480.html. > > I have only done 22 rounds of chelating in one year and 2 > months. If I had been using DMPS, I would have done probably > 40 rounds or more because DMPS has a long half life so I can > sleep better. For better sleep you may want to take melatonine. Also candida issues produce insomnia. It happened to me when I started ALA. > > If you are correct in that ALA increases mercury excretion by 1200% > and DMPS only 30%, that means that using ALA for a round is the same > as using DMPS for 40 rounds or so. I don't think this is correct > . Please read Amalgam Illness and Hair Test Interpretation, you will find there lots of information useful for you. Check AI, p. 202. The figures for increasing of bile mercury excretion using ALA are found in Gregus et al., " Effect of lipoic acid on biliary excretion of glutathione and metals " , Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, Volume 114, Issue 1, May 1992, Pages 88-96 . > > I don't think people would use DMPS if it would excrete so little > mercury. There two good reasons to use DMPS are symptom suppression and faster clearance of blood mercury, for example after amalgam removal. Hope you will find your way to get better. Good luck!
