I'm not sure which metal you mean because you put dmsa in above where you meant to put in another metal - possibly mercury. Anyway, the dmsa will be very good for getting the lead out, so it is good that you are starting with that. You will want to see how you respond to the dmsa, and possibly lower or increase the dose depending on your response. > I don't want to waste time unnecessarily with dmsa, You're not wasting time! Any movement forward with chelation is a good thing. DMSA will chelate lead and mercury. It doesn't get arsenic. > so how soon > could i start ala along with say dmsa because i still need to get the > lead out. dmsa will get the lead out. You can start ala as long as it has been at least 3 months since amalgam removal or any other mercury exposure. It's a good idea to do several rounds with dmsa to see how your body responds and find the appropriate dose before adding ala. See TKs general chelation suggestions in the files section. Print out a copy and use that as a guideline. Guest guest
> > I have asked a similar question before but have lost the > > replies. > > thanks Dudley. ....................................... =========== comments below ........thanks , once i have found the right dose of dmsa ( i am starting with 6.25mg ) ========That is a good dose for you to start on Dudley. Remember, FOUR days after your last exposure, you can start DMSA every Four hours at least. say 12.5mg dmsa. Do i then add ala at say 6.25mg and work up after a few rounds the same as with the dmsa? ========THREE months after your last exposure you can try ALA. 6,25 mg is good to start on for you every 3 hours with the DMSA.I had to go down to 1mg ALA because I had too many side-effects. I can now tolerate 3mg well. So by taking dmsa with ala, will this stop the ala taking mercury out of my organs (if there is any)and into my brain. Please excuse my anxiety but i am so worried about making myself worse,I feel like an alien at the moment because of the unreal feelings i am getting 24/7 at the moment. =========I suggest you do as says. Print out TK's General Suggestions and keep it at hand. Don't hurt yourself. I am having my front bridge off today and if no mercury is there will start chelating in 1 days time is this ok. ========You could be exposed to mercury in the dental office, and thus I suggest you start four days after your last appointment anyway. Dudley, please be careful and don't do anything that you are not sure of. So many people hurt themselves by not following the protocols as described by Andy. Good luck for your dental appointment and hopefully there are no metal to be found. Kai. thanks for all your help Dudley.
Guest guest
here, agreeing with Kai. Start DMSA 4 days after your dental appointment, provided you are sure all amalgam has been removed. The dose of 6.25 mg is a good place to start (every 4 h around the clock). Print out TKs suggestions so that you can keep referring to them. You may need to use lower doses than he recommends. If you have side effects that are difficult to manage, stop the round and lower the dose for the next round. Do several rounds of DMSA to make sure you have the right dose, and feel comfortable with chelation before adding ALA. Make sure that it is 3 months since exposure (this dental office visit could count as exposure) before adding ALA. When ALA is added with DMSA the dose interval must be changed to every 3 h, only stretching to 4 h at night. DMSA chelates lead and mercury, so don't be concerned about time wasted. It is best to be careful. There may be medications that could help with your feelings of unreality. I'm not sure what - it might be something to ask a doctor (no need to explain about the metals and that you are chelating, doctors don't usually get that, and he would just get side tracked from the main issue of whether or not he could help). > > > I have asked a similar question before but have lost the > > > replies. > > > thanks Dudley. > > ...................................... > > =========== comments below > > > .......thanks , once i have found the right dose of dmsa ( i am > > starting with 6.25mg ) > > ========That is a good dose for you to start on Dudley. There was no mercury under it and the panoramic x-ray of the rest of my teeth shows all clear. i really wanted to start today and was just about to take my first DMSA, but checked the messages first and saw that you have both advised to wait 4days even if there was no mercury there. The dental surgery used all the iaomt protocol, I thought i would be ok to chelate, but do not want to take any chances having come this far. So i will start in another 4days time. thanks Dudley. It's good to have plans, but just see how the DMSA goes first before getting set on any other plan of action. Took me almost 10 rounds of DMSA to find the right dose and the right timings and i still have not tried ALA yet. It's a marathon not a sprint. My thoughts are with u Dud, Take care Sunshine
