It seems to me that supplementation needs must vary drastically on

round vs off round.

-----------The general rule is to take supplements all the time, on and off

round. It seems many people do find they need to increase some things during or

right after chelation, and probably will vary by individual. I do recall Andy

saying that some people need to take some Vit C and/or magnesium with pretty

much every dose of chelator. I think he believes that chelation makes you *use

up* more supplements, not that the chelators chelate them out.--------Jackie

Has there been any guidance or discussion on the issue of how, if at

all, to adjust supplementation off-round?

--------Andy recommends supplementing off round too. Some people need to

increase dosages of some supps while on a round and for a day or a few after the

end of the round. Everyone is different, and supplementation just takes some

experimenting as to what works best for the individual.-----Jackie

One issue I am concerned about is continuous ingestion of potentially

toxic minerals like selenium and zinc.

--------------Andy does warn to be careful with selenium. See page 162 of AI.

As far as zinc, I seem to recall reading that Andy has said that this is the

most affected or deranged mineral from mercury, so mercury toxic people require

large doses of it. Sorry I don't have time to search archives, but you can use

onibasu to do so, and/or check out the onibasu/wiki and the ANDY

INDEX.-------Jackie

Another is possible long-term physiological imbalances caused by continous

consumption of nutrients in concentrations impossible to attain through food.

-----------Everyone has to take responsibility for their own supplementing

choices and decide what is best for them and what they are comfortable with.

But I believe many of us have lots of imbalances due to the heavy metals, and it

takes alot of supplementing to try to correct this, and to give the body what it

needs to try to function during this time. Andy has said that you are not done

chelating until you no longer need all of these supplements and special

diets.------Jackie

I've been tending to get on the full supplement regimen about a day

before a round and stay on it for about two days after, and then in a

not very organized fashion eliminate some supplements and reduce others.

---------Like I said, everyone needs to find what works for them and what they

are comfortable with doing. I also think it is wise to re-evaluate your

supplements once in awhile, and it may help to try something new, maybe try

dropping something, and/or adjust dosages.---------Jackie
