Guest guest
My Daddy had his post-op CT done on Tuesday. Today we received the results. No sign of cancer anywhere except one liver lesion (believed to be peritoneal disease adherent to the liver), which has grown from 8mm to 2.1cm since his pre-op PET/CT on October 12. The growth is not good, but it is resectable. His oncologist believes that this is mostly good news, and I agree. He told Daddy that he has the potential for a cure with chemo now and then surgery to resect the liver lesion and any peritoneal disease that cannot be seen on the CT. Daddy's CEA level was 5.6 pre-op and is now 1.3, which is very good news. He is anemic again, so he is taking iron supplements. I am thankful for these results. I have been very worried about the post-op scans. He is now a candidate for the PAACE trial with Panitumumab. He is currently being screened for this trial. He should start chemo next week. Daddy has a post-op PET/CT scheduled tomorrow. Please pray that the PET/CT will not show any additional cancer. Thank you for your prayers. Take care. You are in my prayers.
