Guest guest
Is it wise to continue chelation if you receive a diagnosis of ALS? I haven't but I have weakening muscles and have an appointment with an ALS Specialist. My hair test did not meet counting rules but recently removed an amalgam from my tooth root (three months ago all mercury out) and had three vaccines. I have had the mental symptoms of mercury, but no longer. Now just weakening muscles. I did see in AI that magnesium deficiency could result from thyroid/adrenal problem and cortisol is needed. I have no idea how to get that. When I last checked thyroid./adrenal checked ok. Last week I did a round of 25 mg dmsa with no symptoms. Today intend to start a new round 25 mg dmsa/25 mg ala. I would really like some opinions on whether to continue if (I pray that I don't) get an ASL diagnosis. Thanks, norske
Guest guest
Yes, you can continue. ALS could well be mercury (though I also hope you don't get that diagnosis). Don't raise that dose too quick. It could hit you after a few rounds. Stay at the same dose for a couple 3-5 rounds and see what happens. Guest guest
Norske - all I can say, is that you have had a lot of exposures recently, and that can't be good. If you use chelators properly, that should help rather than hurt. It does look like you've just hit the 3 month mark - so starting ALA might be in order. Dave. ------------ Posted by: " norske_man " norske_man@... norske_man Sat Jun 7, 2008 7:10 pm (PDT) Thanks for the response Dave. I am hoping and praying my weakening leg muscles are a result of 3 month dump. Have you ever heard of it happening? I walk a regular circuit, but two days ago my legs gave out and I had to sit down twice. My initial mercury symptoms, mental anxiety, forgetfullness have waned. In addition to my amalgam mercury, I had two " Twinrix " brand Hep. A & B vaccines in Jan. and March of '07, then a " fluzone " brand flu shot on 12/28/07. I got very physically/mentally sick immediately following the flu shot and left work in January and haven't been back. As I said, I hope I am getting a three month dump, (last amalgam removed March 4, 2008. There was also a prior post that said that vaccine mercury goes into the brain, then gradually changes into the dangerous form over time, presumably making symptoms progressively worse. I can only pray and hope that this is what is happening, or my weakening leg muscles have some other medical cause like MS. I of course will deal with it as best I can, but ALS would be tough news to take. Even if I got the worst news, I guess I would keep chelating ala only, what could it hurt? norske
