First vacation in 7 years

Today I pulled the trigger and booked a house 1 block from a beach on Chesapeake Bay in Cape Virginia for the first week in August. If I were any more excited I would absolutely burst. I've been saving for this for 8 months and I'm still going to make it by the skin of my teeth but I don't care.

My last vacation was in March of 2002 when I went to St in the US Virgin Islands. As wonderful as that was it was a long time ago.

My son Matt and his girlfriend are going to come with me so I'll have help and they'll get to enjoy some beach time too.

I've lots to do to get ready but that will be half the fun!

I know the saving for the trips bit but its worth it and then we just

start working on it again.
