Guest guest
....On page 164 of Andy's Hair Test Interpretation Guide Book, an amalgam-free family consumed large quantities of fish and several members had NORMAL MINERAL TRANSPORT AND Elevated Hair mercury leading Andy to hypothesize " ..That there might be some genetically transmitted trait that causes them to accumulate high levels of methyl mercury from the fish. " See Grampa's chart page 165. He was not exposed to any single large dose, only ate fish daily for 60 years. This statement seems to be an exception to the general rule in every other post I have seen that states unequivocally that ALL mercury converts to inorganic form roughly after the 46-70 day 1/2 life. This is relevant to me because I have eaten lots of fish and have a similar chart as this guy. I cannot take DMSA. I have to use ALA. I'm sure I have lots of inorganic stored up too. But it's the heavy fish diet over last couple of years that concerns me with a hair chart like this. Does anyone have any other information on this case or a similar one where there are exceptions to the rule, possibly certain biochemistries might store pockets of methyl mercury that takes MUCH longer to convert to inorganic?
