Hi Jaco, Feeling faint (especially when going from sit to stand, called postural hypotension) is a classic hypo-adrenal sign. Have you had your adrenals tested? Have you tracked your temperatures? Usually you will have low blood pressure with adrenal problems, but not always. Are you on any adrenal support? I feel this should be included in the basic supplements as it is so vital. Guest guest
I have been around the block with this problem. You are at risk for dilutional hyponatremia if you don't get enough salt daily. I'm very hypoadrenal, and it took 4 months before I was able to get the hydrocortisone I needed (which you probably need, too) to help. I ended up in the ER twice last week with dilutional hyponatremia before I realized I could have prevented it myself with salt water. Low adrenal function causes you to make not enough of an adrenal hormone called aldosterone. This hormone is vital to regulating the sodium (and therefore potassium ratio with sodium) levels in your blood. Doubtless you will find, if someone takes your orthostatic blood pressure properly, you will find your blood pressure drops when going from resting to standing, when in a healthy person it should increase at that point. If you start to get mentally confused, feeling reduced consciousness, along with your woozy feeling, then BEWARE. Dilutional hyponatremia is a life-threatening situation that's a manifestation of an un-treated health issue. In my (and probably your) case, un-treated adrenal insufficiency. I highly suggest you add no less than 1/4 tsp. of sea salt to every pint of water you drink, and drink it throughout the day. (preferably good quality himalayan pink salt or celtic sea salt, because you need those other trace minerals). Especially take this salt water 1st thing in the morning. Give it about 24 hours to assess the full effect it has on you. I'll bet your blood pressure problems will be a thing of the past if you keep up with the salt water like that. But you may still find that you have " salt wasting " due to low aldosterone, even while you keep up with the salt water (I do). That'll just make you urinate more frequently since the body in this state has a difficult time holding on to the salt it needs. > > > > Does anybody sometimes experience like they want to faint, but don't. > > I sometimes, especially earlier before starting chelating felt like I > > wanted > > to faint, but don't. > > These days much better, but still occasionally feel a bit weak and wanting > > to faint for a moment (not the normal lightheaded feeling when standing up > > quickly).
