Guest guest
MB, So glad to hear you like rehab. I enjoyed it too. I'm hoping that the orthopedist will give me good news on Monday. I want to start the maintenence class soon. But, I've been told no extra exercise until they figure out my knee problem. Today was primarily orientation so the exercise was fairly minimal (23 minutes on the Nu Step machine and 15 minutes walking on the track) but there will be more tomorrow. There are 9 people in my class right now and 5 of them have pulmonary fibrosis of some kind or another so it's great to be with others who 'get it'. At the same time there are others in the fitness center. Folks preparing for transplant, folks recovering from transplant, graduates of the rehab program exercising. While I was using the NuStep I was talking to a woman on the next machine. Margaret had a double lung transplant in early March of this year, she's doing great and looks fabulous!! > It's early yet but this seems like a really great program and I'm looking forward to the rest of it. > > PS I've already been labeled by the staff as an 'over achiever'. Guest guest
Beth I knew you'd show off as an over achiever. But, you've been diligent on your own and are dedicated to the class now. You're fortunate to live where such care and so many services are readily available. But you're also very smart in that you take advantage of everything offered there. It's hard sometimes to find out all that is available but many of us do live in areas with many services. Hopefully we all are as smart and take advantage. > > I'm home from my first day of pulmonary rehab.
