This is so cool.....okay so what is dashi broth and what is kombu, seaweed? So

I boil this and then put in the Miso paste? What is the difference between the

white and red paste....now this sounds easy enough for me to do rather than buy

the instant....though it was fine. thanks for sharing - donna

with a dashi broth or, as

we do at home, just put a stick of kombu or other Japanese seaweed into

water and bring to a simmer for a few minutes. Then remove from heat (NEVER

BOIL

THE MISO PASTE) and stir some miso paste (white or red, depending on your

desire) into the hot water. If you boil the miso paste, you are taking out all

of the beneficial stuff for your digestive track. I do it to taste which is

a couple of tablespoon fulls. Then, add chopped green onion and firm tofu

that you have cut into cubes. That's all you need. It is so good and very

good for you. My kids have it for breakfast. Of course, there are powdered

miso soup mixes at your grocery store and they are Ok too. Buy the miso paste

at your Whole Foods, Wild Oats or other healthy market.

Enjoy.
