Guest guest
Robin, It sounds like the chest pain you are talking about could be caused by an " acid stomach " . I think Andy mentioned that he used to get this sometimes when chelating. At night it can be quite nasty if it creeps up into the esophagus (and easily interpreted as " heart pain " /angina, or general " chest pain " ). I too have some issues with chest pain. I prefer to use the term " chest tightness " since that's more what it feels like to me. I've found that eating a banana can give some relief... -Finkle --- In frequent-dose-chelation , " robin " > 3-4 around the clock, 3 days on 4 days off. This time I added 12.5 > ALA. Felt fine at first, better even but since last night I have > solid chest pain that will sometimes creep into my esophagus > (although that's better since the acupuncture)
Guest guest
- This is one possible reason for stomach pain, for which Andy has suggested taking some protein with each dose, since acid is used by the body to digest protein. I just thought I'd mention that there can be other reasons, which mimic reflux. In my case, the problem turned out to be gas developing in the digestive system. If I do not regularly go out to take walks after meals, then gas starts to build up and it becomes very painful. This started some 2 years into my chelation process, and has continued up to the present (2 3/4 years). My acupuncturist also suggests that I be careful to eat soft, well cooked, easily digestible food. Dave. I've felt it myself during a night dose. So has one of my kids. That is one possibility to consider, re: chest pain.
Guest guest
Hi - I have always had stomach problems, though most of the pain came from the lower bowel. DMSA really made things worse, and I had to revert to ALA alone. My doctor gave me Lansoprazole for a painful digestive system and that worked really well. I haven't tried DMSA for some time.
