Since this will be my first round. Does taking 500mg

all at once release alot more metals in your urine?

-----------In theory, you would think so, but again, I think this varies by

person. Your kidneys will only be able to excrete so much, and maybe some

people are able to excrete more than others. Alot of things are messed up in us

toxic folks, so things don't always work right, or like a normal healthy person,

so you just don't know. I think Marcia said her dentist had alot higher numbers

than she did, and he seemed healthy and she was alot sicker. So what does that

tell you?

I know you're probably tempted to do the 500mg for the test to get good

results, but there are no guarantees that you will, and I honestly don't feel

it's worth the risk. And I know you have children to raise Sheila, so from

mother to mother, can you really afford to take a chance on this and mess

yourself up worse? It's not something I was ever willing to risk, and I knew

because of my kids, I would never let any doctor talk me into any harmful

protocol or test. Your doctor isn't going to come over and take care of your

kids, if you can't because you got worse from the challenge test. I'm sorry if

this sounds mean or blunt, but it is the harsh reality of what could happen if

you go through with it.

And I'll make another point. I just finished doing some chelation at 20mg of

DMPS. I was able to tolerate long rounds and didn't feel much on or off round,

so I went up to 25mg this round. A small increase, but I can feel the

difference. Glad I didn't order 30mg. I have never taken more than 25mg of

either DMSA or DMPS, so I can't even begin to imagine what 500mg would do to me.

Now maybe I'm very sensitive or very toxic, but because of my reaction to

chelators, I can't ever recommend to anyone to take such high doses.

Another point. I think some of the people who have done challenge tests have

done them with amalgams still in, and have gotten high scores, probably because

of that. NOT RECOMMENDED. Just pointing out, the timing of the test will

probably affect results too.

And I want to make it clear again, to newcomers or whoever, that challenge tests

are not part of Andy's protocol, and are not recommended. He recommends hair

Thanks Jackie for your advice. I am tempted to do the 500mg but my

intuition tells me no. I will just do what I was going to do

originally and do it after my first round. I am not going to take

the chance of feeling worse. I have always been a very healthy

person and active and I do not want to feel any worse than I do now.

I can barely get through the day as it is let alone feel more side

effects by taking such a high amount. He orginally wanted me to take

1000mg and test my urine after 12 hours but relented when I said that

was way too much. He believes based on new research that by taking

3000mg of glycine and 10 meg of Uro-CItK that this would help me. I

don't know what these two do -- does anyone else? Again thanks-

listening to doctors is why I have a mercury toxic 6 year old...And

that makes me angry....and sad..

One of the things that I consider too is timing. Labs are not open on

weekends as far as I know, nor can you ship, so you don't want any kind of lab

samples setting around any longer than necessary before they get to the lab or

the lab can analyze them. I think the samples can lose their integrity and skew

results. I always try and do lab tests on Mondays or Tuesdays for that reason if

its something that has to be shipped.

Hi -

The glycine, as far as I know, is just one supplement that can help with

bile production (in combination with taurine and lecithin). It

certainly won't help you with side effects. the Uro-CItK is, as far as

I can tell, potassium citrate. That will just give you some potassium

(an electrolyte) and some citrate (basically citric acid). Neither are

going to help you with side effects.

This doctor doesn't really know what they are talking about. I'd be

very cautious about taking their advice.
