- 5mg is exactly where you would want to start with your son.

That's enough, and you can stay there for as long as you like. If and

when you are confident that he can tolerate that amount, you might

consider raising it, but you don't want to do it for a while, and there

is certainly no pressure to go up any higher. Weight for weight, that

is the equivalent of what I have been doing for nearly 3 years now.

Hello,

I haven't started chelation. I have been researching and taking it slow

(because I was scared of the idea). I've been watching your posts for

about 3 weeks, and I'm starting to feel more comfortable. I would be

chelating my 4 year old son (35 pounds). I would start with DMSA (I am

waiting for the hair test to make sure he needs it -he has autism). I

would then add in ALA down the road. I still want to read Andy's book (I

read about 40 pages so far). Anyway I'm a chicken about chelation, and

my question is would it be effective to keep him low the whole time

instead of increasing? Like if I start him at 5mg (can't remember the

measurment) and then just keep him that low (then it wouldn't be too

harsh on his body). Or is this ineffective?

Thanks,
