Guest guest
Hi : I just found your reply regarding Xeloda. I asked my oncologist about it today and that is what they told me. I don't know why they chose one over the other, however. I am happy that your chemo is shrinking your tumor. Is it in the colon? Thank G-d you don't have it in the liver. And it is encouraging to know that the scan found your blood clot before something broke off. I think about clots all the time but I guess there is no way to know whether we have them except by a scan or a serious event. Take care. Guest guest
, The recurrent tumor is in the muscle wall of the abdomen very near the site of the original colon tumor and resection. In my fogged state I kind of remember the surgeon telling me that the tumor that was stage iv was attached to the abdominal wall and they hoped they had gotten all of it, but apparently they didn't. They did get clear margins on the original tumor, though, so I don't think it's likely it will actually come back in the colon itself. brencolinmom@... wrote: Hi : I just found your reply regarding Xeloda. Guest guest
Ingrid, I was staged iv because the tumor had broken through the colon and was into the abdominal wall then, headed for my kidneys. It didn't get there, but it was attaching itself to other structures. Ingrid Lowe wrote: , Please refresh me. Why are they staging you stage four? Your liver and lungs are clear are they not??? My reoccurant tumor was wrapped within scar tissue that was attached to my adominal wall. I asked my Onc if that put me stage four and he said no you are still stage three. I am confused and not sure what I am. Why were you staged at a four??? Love, Ingrid > Hi : > I just found your reply regarding Xeloda.
