Guest guest
I am looking at becoming a EMT. To enter the program I have to get the following Mumps proof of immunization or positive titer Measles (rubeola) born before 1957 or documentation of receipt of two (2) doses of live measles vaccine after first birthday and no less than one month apart, or physician diagnosed measles, or documentation of immune titer proving immunity Rubella rubella vaccine given after one year of age, or documentation of immune titer proving immunity, or age greater than 40 DPT / DT /TD / Tetanus immunization within the last five years PPD (tuberculin) skin test good for one year chest x-ray good for two years Chicken Pox current immunization or proof of positive titer Most of these have titer's so I would do that over the actual shot. Some like the DPT/DT/Tetanus are required. Is this a concern? Do these still typically have mercury in them? Andy mentions the risk of auto immune conditions. What am I to do? How about if later in my career I need Hep A B C vacs? Thanks
