Guest guest
I fell asleep on the third day of my recent ALA round, and had to stop. The good news is that there was absolutely no after round side effects that I could detect. I can tolerate 12.5 mg ALA rounds now! It's not that I have had any adrenal recovery. I know that because my response to some non chelation related stresses in July was way worse than I have ever responded to stress in the past (and those problems were making me wonder if I should keep delaying ALA chelation). In the past when I tried 5 mg ALA rounds I would get more and more sleepy as the round progressed, and if I made it to the end, I would have to stay in bed for the first day after the round. This recent experiment means that chelating with DMPS has improved my ability to tolerate ALA chelation (which we kind of expect, but I'm all excited about it anyway). So, for anyone discouraged about how little ALA they are tolerating - keep chelating with DMSA or DMPS to clear out more body burden, and in the future you will be able to tolerate chelation at higher ALA doses. I wanted to be able to do one week on, one week off ALA rounds. This does not seem to be possible at this time because I am too sleepy on the third day. At least I can do 3 day ALA rounds.
