Guest guest
Thanks Bruce, I am thinking about a jazzy just for the house. We'll see. Love and Prayers, Peggy IPF 2004, FloridaWorry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up. Chair vs. Scooter Now, medicare and many insurances only cover when you need it for indoor use, which means they generally expect to provide a chair rather than a scooter. At one time scooters were thought of as for outdoors and chairs for indoors. The scooters were more stable at speed and had bigger wheels. The chairs had a shorter turning radius. The scooter had steering more like a steering wheel and the chairs used joysticks. Now, however, there are scooters with narrower turning radius and the chairs are more stable and have larger wheels. Regardless though, most scooters are still difficult to maneuver in houses while chairs are easier. Meanwhile either can be used elsewhere. If I were only going to use it outdoors, I'd choose a scooter. However, if I saw myself using it both places, then I'd choose a chair. Chairs also often have seats that raise and lower and that turn to the side. The comment on carrying capacity is definitely an issue. The scooters generally come with nice baskets. There are baskets for the chairs but still not the same space. In fact, there are even trailers to pull behind the chairs. However, I can't see that happening or working personally. > > > > > > For ME personally, I'm not so interested in "things to do"... too > > much walking is difficult for me and even with O2 I can get SOB. > > > Whatever the majority chooses I'll consider. > > > MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. > > > Nasturtiums > > > Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! > > > > > > Possible West-Coast get-together... > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all you Californians. ..and thanks to Ken O. for working on > this! > > > > > > What about the Carmel/Monterey area?
