Colette,

I am the one with the high silver family. Our hair tests are 25, 26,

and 27. Our hot tub had a " silver ion cartridge " that sat in the

water inside the filter area of the tub. Silver can also be

accumulated from the use of silver water orally. Some practitioners

actually recommend using this to thwart infection.

When you look at the hair tests, study the actual numbers for the

silver, not just the extent of the colored line. You will see how

over the top my silver really was. Mine was so much higher possibly

because I used pubic hair instead of head hair. It is possible that

the pubic hair was contaminated with silver from the outside contact

with the hot tub water. However, that would not explain the high

silver in both my husband and son whose heads never got wet in the hot

tub.

I've heard suggestion that some silver could be absorbed from amalgams

(silver fillings). Lord knows we had those too!

You will have to find out if silver ions are introduced into the pool

water where you swim. It could be through a cartridge like our hot

tub or it could be an additive as well. I would worry about the

chlorine in pool water too. Chlorine is absorbed through the skin.
