Guest guest
Dosing ALA more frequently than 3 hours Andy is very clear stating that doing this may help people who find rounds rough. Just look for example in HTI. The rationale of this is clear, 3 hours is just a compromise between what is feasible and what is the average metabolism of people, but the metabolism of some people is just faster than the average. I don't think that using ALA each 3 hours is a conservative proposal in the sense that, say, over 95% of people will find it OK. Probably 2 hours would be closer to this but this proposal will not be fair for the many people who would be OK using ALA just each 3 hours. It would be nice to know precisely what is the statistical distribution of the half-life of ALA. Does anyone have this data? Once someone is trying to use a very small dosage such as 12.5 mg and find it problematic, it is very rational to propose to take doses more frequently before trying to reduce the dosage even more.
