Guest guest
, So good to see your post. Thanks again for your helpful insights about stents. The weather here in Kansas is about like Oklahoma-warm, cold, warm, cold. Lots of people are complaining about sinus-like problems. I got bronchitis on Jan 14 and started antibiotics right away. Seemed to work, but this past week my sinuses are driving me crazy. Not sure if I need more Rx or not, but will see the doctor next Monday anyway. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I've been thinking about you and will keep you in my prayers. hello I've been reading the post and keeping up on how everyone is doing? Heidi i know exactly what you mean about this weather. I'm in Fort Worth, Tx and on day it will be 76 degrees the next day it's 30 degrees and freezing. My throat started getting soar about 2 days ago, so i started taking my antibiotics. What ever it was seems to be leaving but i still have that blah feeling you know, achy like. But i call my doctor to see if he wants me to continue the antibiotic i am taking or change to something else. My temperature was 100.1 today when i woke up. Last night it was 99.1 so i will check it again before bed and see what it's doing. I had my flu shot. We'll see. Guest guest
, I understand all too well about Mom's never stop worrying. Whenever my boys (ages 19 and 23) are out, I automatically wake up - even without the prednisone - to make sure they made it home. My youngest son has been in two very serious accidents, and it has been two incredible miracles that he survived and has not had severe permanent injury, so I worry more than most Moms. In fact, I'm up right now for that reason! Nick (the older one) had a band show last night and doesn't get home from those til after 3:30 am. So my internal alarm went off (complete with night sweats from this cRaP) to make sure he is home safe. That post you sent out last week about Moms and their children and worrying was so true. But you know what? I know they'll be there for me, and your girls will be there for you when we need them - and they'll worry and care for us too. Hope your electricity is back on - Go get those batteries!! With Love and wishes for better weather - and big hugs from and , and me, Carol G Boy moms never stop worrying Huh. I'm glad tonight is her last night on nights. Her externship will be done and hopefully they will hire her on for days. She is going to work as a MA for a year and then go on to get her RN. Poor thing has been working full time going to school full time and now working 2 jobs full time. I think she need a rest. Now if I can just get to WORK!!! LOL sorry for rambling, just trying to stay awake. Hope you all have a wonderful Weekend and if you don't hear from me, you will know my electricity is out. LOL Love you all bunchesDISCLAIMER!!WE ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, THEREFORE ANY INFORMATION THAT IS RECEIVED HERE IS FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY. Guest guest
Hi , My husband and I are planning our first Great Strides walk in ville Il. It is in September. We are working with the St Louis CFF office though. I speak to another mom in Champaign on the phone every few weeks and I can let her know to contact you. Her son is 2.5 yowcf. They put Zach on Ultrase MT 12 last month and we suspected he was chewing them as well. We are back to the regular smaller Ultrase pills. Did you know you can get them for free until is two? If not, I will send you the information. If your doctor wants on the MT 12 pills, the doc can write a special letter to the company and they will provide the MT 12 for free until she is two. Guest guest
The Ultrase granules are large. Our 18 month old granddaughter switched to Creon, which is MUCH smaller. Later, she switched to Pancreacarb, for the bi-carbonate coating. They are also smaller than the Ultrase. Guest guest
There are different sizes in each of the brands. Ultrase , Creon, Pancreas, Pancrecarb & all have wee ones too they are generally numbered MT4 orMT 5 & are truly small. good luck...... Guest guest
Hi ! We live in Findlay, Illinois, on Lake Shelbyville. We do the Great Strides walk in Springfield and have for the last five years. Last year Peoria was heading up the Springfield walk, but this year they switched to St. Louis. I communicated a lot with Dockins in the Peoria office. Lexie just turned 9 on Friday and is doing very well. She started out as a baby with Creon 10 and the granules were tiny. They worked great in applesauce. She takes Lipram now which is generic for Ultrase (damn our insurance), and there were concerns that she wouldn't do well on generic. So far so good. She weighs almost 54 pounds and looks normal in weight and height compared to her friends. I haven't been on the board long, but have been learning a lot. , mommy to Lexie 9 y/o w/cf > hello everyone my name is michelle i am the mother of baby anna who is 18 months and has cf i have been on here before i was woundering if ther is anyone in the peoria ,blomington ,champain, ect area in illinois i was just offerd a part time job at the cf foundation here in peoria and we work woth all the surrounding areas and i would love to meet any one my e-mail is flynnfamily@insight bb.com my other concern is anna was just changed from plain ultrase to mt 12 and she is doing ok on them but she is not real happy with the larger granuels in the capsules we put it in the appelsauce but they are alot larger so she is crunching on the .hope all is well > > > xoxo > michelle mom to caitlin8wo/cf erin 7 wo/cf > moira 3 wo/cf & anna 18 months w/cf > >
