Shaleen:

what hospital is your mom in? what chemo was she on when they stopped it?

why did it have to be stopped? Was it because of the kidney obstruction?

The doctor and staff need to understand that they are to contact you before

any procedure is done and that you want to be there. Two hour is not too far

away. You should call the nurses station and speak to the nurse who is

assigned to your mom and ask about her condition etc. You are entitled to that

and I am sure your mom would want you involved.

Shaleen, I am so sorry that you and your mom are having to go through

this. You cannot call the nurses station and talk to a nurse to see

if your mom is doing alright??? That was just a thought. I do not

have any answers to your questions. Hopefully someone here will.

I just wanted to let you know I have added your mom to my Prayers.

And am Praying for you too who needs all the strength you can get.

Love, Ingrid

Shaleen,

My mom has stage IV rectal cancer. Her tumor was inoperatable. She had to

have a stent put in also, due to blockage to the kidney. It helped alot for

her and I'm sure it will for your mom too.
