Guest guest
Hi all, Back in May of 2007, I sought out Dr. Rhagu and his staff to review Cat scans taken in 2005 and 2006 as well as other PFTs, Echos, etc conducted during that same time period. After several tests and evaluations at the University of Washington, I was told there was a high (98%) certainty that what I was suffering from was some form of hypersensitivity pneumonitis. I was told the only way to confirm I actually had IPF - and I was warned that sometimes even lung biopsy results could prove to be inconclusive. We decided to go ahead with the lung biopsy. After examination of my lung tissue, Dr. Rhagu and staff were shocked to discover I had IPF. Since then, I have been to several other centers around the U.S. including the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin and MUSC (Medical University of South Carolina) only to have my diagnosis confirmed time and time again. I can only offer words of caution to you for my oximeter at the time of my testing in Seattle was also producing oxygen results in the high 90's.
