I was curious as to why given every 8 or possibly 7 hours seems to be the norm and the recommendation per Cutler. Are you extremely fast metabolizes? Guest guest Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Posted September 17, 2008 in my case its just easier to take 40 mgs at 3 hrs along with the ALA i could take I guess 90-100 every 8 hrs when i am off but doing every 3- 4 hrs seems to feel better than one pill every 8 my understanding is that dmps has a half life of 8 hrs in the body so can be taken 8 hrs and u do not have to wake up in the middle of the night to take i am fast phase 1-slow phase 2 metabolizer so do not know if this has anything to do with it > > I have seen a couple of post now where people say they are taking DMPS > every 3 hours.
