DMPS users: is DMPS covered by insurance?

I got a prescription for DMPS for the first time (from my alt med dr.),

and am getting it through a compounding pharmacy (College Pharmacy in

Colorado). They don't take insurance (I think most or all compounding

pharmacies don't).

Is DMPS ever covered by insurance (here in the US)? Do regular

drugstores carry it? (if so, I figured maybe my insurance would cover

it, as it covers pretty much all prescription meds you can get at a

typical drugstore). I tried calling a CVS store near me, and they

didn't carry DMPS.

Or is DMPS only available through compounding pharmacies?
