Guest guest
Hi Everyone I feel so fortunate to have found this site. I am 48, was diagnosed with colon cancer & had surgery (partial lap)at the end of Sept '05. (Cecum area - resectioned) No cancer in family. It was stage 1 with 36 nodes showing negative - I'm one of the lucky ones. I was not referred to an oncologist because of the good news but told to see my gastroenterologist 1 yr from now for another colonoscopy, no chemo, no radiation. I did take a blood test to get a cancer count?? prior to the surgery. Today is my first day back at work, but, I am feeling apprehensive. Are there any test besides the colonoscopy next year that would give me a heads up if the cancer should reappear? Thanks for your help & my prayers are with each of you.
