Do I understand correctly that Dr. Peatfield can still see patients but he can't prescribe medications? Have you talked with him about chelation and what does he have to say about that? I believe he travels up and down the country very frequently seeing many people in the different clinics he has around the UK. Getting an appointment took a long time because he is so booked up in advance. He told me he regularly has people fly over from USA to see him for help. He told me the story about him disagreeing with the " establishment " over his methods of treatment. When I saw him it was part of the literature he gave me about himself but I have thrown it out now. He could not work with the system because he disagreed with the traditional methods that so obviously don't work, so he re-educated and re-classified himself as an " complementary therapist in the field of nutrition. " He does the same thing though….he cures people's metabolic illnesses. Personally, after all I have learnt about traditional western medicine, I think being struck-off is an excellent way to market himself, because the system sucks and the drugs are rubbish and dangerous. He is a very old, very nice man who is only the second doctor that actually listened to me and my sorry symptoms. It is true he cannot prescribe medication. Glandulars do not require prescription. I only saw him only once. I then exchanged 10-12 emails with him over the last 10 months. Discussing my progress and what to do next. He took a long time to reply to the emails but they me cost nothing. He had to frequently tell me that it takes time and that it will work and that I need to be patient. It did take time, 10 months, and it did work. The one appointment cost £140 ($280) which is not a lot of money considering some of the other money I have wasted on so called specialists. The last specialist I saw cost double that and I disagreed with everything he suggested so I never went back. He was " aware " on mercury problems and he was " aware " of chelation methods, but that was not his expertise. His expertise is metabolic illnesses: thyroids and adrenals. People should not see him for chelation because that's not what he does. Before I saw him I read lots of books about all this stuff, educated myself right up, but when I started the ACE I got all these weird symptoms that no one could tell me why where happening. He sat me down, listened to me, saw what I doing wrong and put it right. All I did was increase my ACE dose too quickly, but nowhere did I read this and it took his expertise to spot the minor error I made and put it right. Because my adrenals where in such bad shape the sudden introduction of extra hormones played havoc with me and I needed to start at ultra low doses and work slowly up. I started at 25mg per day and finished at 1000mg per day which is when things started working for me. Sunshine
