Just so new people in the group don't get confused - it is always recommended (for adults) to take chelators in capsules. There is too much error involved in mixing chelators with liquids and dividing doses that way, and ALA is an acid and it is best to get it down in a capsule. The only people who would need to take chelators mixed with food are kids who are too young to swallow capsules. J
