Guest guest
With the happenings in the USA this seems rather irrelevant. However, a while back we had various discussions about bed wetting. My DS1 has never been dry, but a few months back we got a new school nurse. This one took the trouble to go back through the children's notes and rang and asked me if the bed wetting was still a problem. She agreed to see Jack after school. Since then we have had various meetings and we have now turned a complete corner. From having wet beds every night we now have had about 6 wet beds since before the children broke up from school. Bear in mind that this includes our holiday in France and I think you will agree that she has worked wonders with him. No fancy gimmicks were used just a wonderful understanding of how a child's mind works and the ability to talk to him. She actually has children at our school and she even told him that if he did not want to acknowledge her in school then that was fine - she did not want to make him out to be different to his class mates. She said she will see him once more and tell him how wonderful he is! She is so proud of him, as I think that as a new school nurse he is her first success! I am feeling really proud of him!
