Guest guest
my first meeting with the RT prior to pulmonary rehab, she explained the costs -- at the time i had personal choice -- rehab would be covered for xx number of sessions, but i was responsible for $xx per session ( maybe it was $10 -- three years ago) follow up maintenance would be $7 or $8 per session the wellness center (a gym) in the same hospital is $40 per month i did follow up maintenance, paid out of pocket for a long time, then joined the wellness center last fall because it's open more hours yesterday i was told by someone that medicare will pay for pretransplant rehab -- so i need to follow up on that Pink Joyce (IPF 3/06) IFA 5/09 Pennsylvania Donate Life Listed 1/09 Inactive 4/09 www.transplantfund.org--- Subject: Re: MedicareTo: Breathe-Support Date: Monday, June 8, 2009, 7:46 PM Well, $1800 cap covers quite a few visits I would think. The cap orlimit on the number of visits is semi-solid. It can be extended onoccasion as per the latest changes but that goes back and forth. Mainlyyou can take advantage of Rehab up to their limits and this will get youon a good path. Then you can continue at home or at a senior center orcity recreation center or somewhere else that has equipment. Many of ushave started with Rehab and now continue with very similar regimens athome. The rehab center the doctor referred you to should contactmedicare and get approval and then be able to tell you how many sessionsmedicare has approved.> > >> > > How long does it take to recover to your original state after> having> > the VATS?
