Hi all, I have been trying for some time to set up a system whereby we can all order ALA and DMSA that is compounded properly in smaller amounts to suit our individual needs. This would allow us to get accurate amounts of chelators per dose, that can't be achieved through dividing capsules visually. Working with a compounding pharmacist we are lucky enough to have gotten this up and running. The compounding pharmacist has created specialized doses of ALA and DMSA for our oral chelation protocol, including proper and safe labeling stating: " DMSA must be dosed according to its half-life of 4 hours. Take one capsule every 4 hours for 3 consecutive days followed by a 3 day rest period in accordance with Dr Andy Cutler's oral chelation protocol. " See examples of the labels here: http://livingnetwork.co.za/files_CompPharm/DMSA_12.5mg_VitaminC_Filler_C1032.pdf http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/files_CompPharm/ALA_3mg_MagnesiumAspartate_C1048.\ pdf There are currently 28 options of compounded ALA and DMSA available and other dosages specific to your individual needs can be compounded on request, with an appropriate vitamin or mineral as the filler. There is 3mg, 6.25mg, 10mg, 12.5mg dosages etc. The clear vege-capsules are compounded only with pure vitamins (or when necessary to reduce the intake of a particular vitamin a very safe filler, that Andy gave his blessing to, can be used if requested). There are no other ingredients at all - e.g binders, dyes, flavors etc. I'm not sure if it will be cost-effective for some of you to order from overseas, but the rates work out to more or less $30 per bottle of 100 capsules of compounded ALA or DMSA. We can get combination products created also. Shipping to the USA via EMS costs about $35 and you can get several products in one shipment, and takes 6-9 working days. The online order system is located here: http://livingnetwork.co.za/chelation if you are interested. Of course it will still be cheaper to divide capsules yourself, but it is really great to be able to take each dose knowing it is exactly the same as the one before, and the blood levels of the chelators will be more stable with less redistribution. We have been using them for 2 months in South Africa to good effect. Thanks, DeanSA p.s. If anyone is interested in Sustained Release T3 I can ask the pharmacist for prices? She makes it exactly as does Medaus, but I believe it is very much cheaper.
