Guest guest
Hi Joni, I started as 6mg DMSA and stayed there for 5 or 6 rounds. These rounds were some of my toughest. Not only that but I found that I needed 6-9 day breaks between these rounds and that if I did four rounds in a row without a longer pause I would get badly wrecked. By round 25 I was up to 25mg, could do three days on/three days off, and felt completely well. Literally I could go on 30 mile bike rides and stuff. I recently started ALA at 3mg and it took me 6 weeks to get well enough for another round. No more all better for me! These rounds were my toughest. I feel better if I keep the DMSA rounds coming, but I can barely handle any ALA at all. Of course it is the mercury that is being mobilized which is the killer, not the ALA. So I do DMSA rounds until I start feeling well again, and then add in ALA for a round. People are advised to start at doses like 12mg or 25mg, but I think this is too much for some people, with no way to know who these people are in advance. At whatever dose I thought I could tolerate, it was only after 3 or 4 rounds that I found out whether it was too much or not enough. The increased excretion with increased dose is relatively negligible, so my opinion is people should start at 3mg. Good luck! Dave > > > > I dont get this.
