I started this last June thinking it might help my sleep and found that it totally controls my depression. Better than any of the dozen+ psych meds I've taken over the years, and has been longer lasting since it doesn't have any side effects that make me stop it. I take 500mg at bedtime and it took a couple of weeks for me to notice the psych benefits. I think Andy recommends taking it more often, but I haven't gotten to that point yet.
