Guest guest
Hey all I'm currently doing 20mg of DMPS every 8 hours.. I have NO days off but this was decided by julie anderson so i trust it.. she wants me on it for 3 months while i also try ti kill off a parasite ID'd through METAMETRIX labs. So, first off, how long does one need to be on DMPS to notice an improvement in symptoms if they were caused by mercury? I should say a while back i tried ALA and i got all screwed up from it, probably too high a dose, so i started saunas, but then i started getting rashes and sensitive skin after the 10th sauna. so i stopped, but have been dealing with rashes and the tender skin ever since, which is like 7 months. Okay, so assuming maybe mercury is playing a role in the allergic reactions and or skin problems, would taking DMPS like i'm doing now make those symptoms worse? or could it? because lately i've noticed my skin is even MORE tender it seems, but maybe i'm just over thinking it. lastly, anybody know if metametrix is a good lab? legit? I know they use DNA testing to look for things but just wondered if anybody else has ever used them. thanks scott

I have increased my dosage slightly, and now seem to do better with shorter rounds, like 5 or 6 days lately. And I also need more frequent dosing, like 6 hours or less. So keep that in mind. Do you feel the chelator wearing off before the next dose? started me on 20mg/8hr, but then we switched to 15mg/6hr, and I liked that better. Same dosage per day, just more spread out.---------Jackie she wants me on it for 3 months while i also try ti kill off a parasite ID'd through METAMETRIX labs. So, first off, how long does one need to be on DMPS to notice an improvement in symptoms if they were caused by mercury? ---------Everyone is so different, it is really hard to say. And some of us have other metals, besides mercury. I chelated with DMSA for a long time and always felt better on rounds with it, much better. But now with DMPS, I don't get that big lift that I used to. But, I also have high arsenic, which DMSA doesn't chelate, but DMPS does, so I'm thinking that the DMPS is pulling arsenic now, and it feels different. So the last couple of rounds, I think I have felt better *after* the round, or during my OFF time, at least for a couple of days. Anyway, sorry to ramble, but I didn't notice much while *on* DMPS, and said that's when she really noticed it, is when she had to go off DMPS, then she got bad side effects and felt much worse.--------Jackie I should say a while back i tried ALA and i got all screwed up from it, probably too high a dose, so i started saunas, but then i started getting rashes and sensitive skin after the 10th sauna. so i stopped, but have been dealing with rashes and the tender skin ever since, which is like 7 months. -----------I think in cases when people have tried/done other things, it might take longer to see improvements, so this may be the case with you. Just hang in there, and stick with it. How long have you been on DMPS?--------Jackie Okay, so assuming maybe mercury is playing a role in the allergic reactions and or skin problems, would taking DMPS like i'm doing now make those symptoms worse? or could it? because lately i've noticed my skin is even MORE tender it seems, but maybe i'm just over thinking it. -----------The process of chelation does move metals in your body, so it can make symptoms worse or make them flare up. You'll have to be the judge of how bad they are, and maybe you'll need to take a break. For some people, symptoms and side effects increase during the round, so for those people, it is important to take breaks, so they don't become unbearable. So it may be possible that continuous chelation isn't going to work for you.---------Jackie lastly, anybody know if metametrix is a good lab? legit? I know they use DNA testing to look for things but just wondered if anybody else has ever used them. -----------I have personally never used them, but I don't recall hearing anything bad about them, and Andy does list them in AI on page 198.----------Jackie thanks scott
