Hi,

I just got my hair test results posted at

http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/files/hairtest_214.pdf . I would

greatly welcome any comments, questions, or suggestions.

The mercury level is high-- 3.8 ug/g. My doctor did not comment on

any of the other numbers. I have both of Dr. Cutler's books.

At the time of the hair test I was taking some iodine supplements but

had not taken any other supplement in many months. I'm now taking

about 95% of the basic supplements that Dr. Andy Cutler recommends.

The hair was taken from a haircut, rather than following the procedure

DDI recommends. My doctor said that would be fine. I have very short

hair.

Questions I'm wondering about:

* Do I have deranged mineral transport?

* What do the ratios say about the functioning of my endocrine

glands, etc?

* Are there any supplements that would be particularly useful for me

to take, based on these test results?

* Does high-mercury in my hair mean I should / could use only DMSA

for a while?

The hair was collected about six weeks ago, and for the past five

weeks I've been doing chelation with DMSA and ALA. I started with

DMSA only at 25mg every three hours, and after a few rounds added 25mg

ALA. I weigh 190 lbs.

On the last round I noticed that I was feeling pretty spaced out so I

stopped the ALA early, which helped. I'm thinking I might try doing a

few rounds of DMSA only. I've been going 3-5 days " on " followed by

3-4 days " off " . I've been keeping a diary of my doses along with

signs and symptoms.

My ND doctor thinks I'm nuts for using less than 250mg DMSA, but I

feel more convinced by Dr. Cutler's logic.

Thank you for your time.
