From what I can tell, I may have > both thyroid and adrenal issues. I agree. A saliva test for cortisol levels will check how your adrenals are performing and blood tests for free T3, free T4, TSH will tell you what is happening with thyroid function. You can post results of these tests here for suggestions. My arsenic and copper levels are > both high in yellow. I don't meet counting rules 2 or 3. My lithium > level is low red. Should I supplement? Yes, when it is below detection limit Andy recommends taking 5 mg of lithium orotate or asparatate. (See p. 257 of HTI) > I may meet counting rule 1 based on whether phosphorus is counted as > going right. I found two examples in HTI where it appears Andy does > not count phosphorus levels at 201(p45-46) and 203(57-58) as going > right. My phosphorus is 202. The range of 160-250 is the same for > his examples and mine. In terms of the counting rules, your test is at least " suspicious " . I wouldn't worry about whether phosphorus is over the midline or not. The test is clearly abnormal and it is very likely you have a mercury problem. Andy has said all low tests are very common with mercury toxic people, even when they have more than five elements above the midline. And your history and symptoms certainly fit. > I'm not sure how concerned I should be about the arsenic anc copper > levels. I am having my water tested. They are more significant since it is an all low test. Use the copper reduction supplements and reduce copper foods for a few months. Then you need to do another hair test to verify the copper level is reduced. It is a good idea to test your drinking water. Doctors Data has a test you can order without a doctor. You mention having several crowns. You need to be sure there is no amalgam left under them before you start chelating. For depression, Andy describes the different types and what to do about them here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/message/15287 It sounds like blood sugar problems are contributing to your mood issues. Eating a low glycemic diet with frequent meals/snacks containing protein, and taking chromium picolinate with meals will help. Adrenal support will also help. The all low test suggests trying things to improve digestion. Your multi is unlikely to contain enough digestive enzymes to do what you need. A separate digestive enzyme product would be better. You may also need supplemental stomach acid. People with adrenal problems don't make enough. Check to be sure your probiotic is adequate. You will need lots of live organisms, the range of 75-100 billion is a reasonable target. Look for a product with both acidophilus and bifidus. You'll need more supplements. Zinc and vitamin E are notable omissions from your list - you will need higher amounts than you can get in a multi. Look at page 133-134 of Amalgam Illness for the basic supplements. The hair test suggests you don't make enough adrenaline and supplementation with tyrosine, TMG, folic acid, and vitamins B6 and B12 may improve your mood and energy level. When you are ready to chelate, you need ALA with optional DMPS to get rid of both mercury and arsenic. See the files for more on how to chelate safely - TK's general suggestions give you step by step details on how to get started. -- > Thank you for helping me figure this out > > Cindy >
Guest guest
Hi , I just wanted to thank you for helping me with the hair test results, and giving me the suggestions on how to proceed next. Your help was appreciated more than you could ever know. I just am so awed that a total stranger took the time to help me, and did so very thoroughly. This is one positive to having health issues...it brings people into new relationships with others. I have already got the supplements, and will see the doctor on Friday for thyroid and adrenal issues. Thanks again ! Cindy
