DH ill...ohhhh

Today is the last day before Yeshaya goes to Yeshivah tomorrow. I had

a thousand things planned to do with him/for him/without him...

Then DH went to get his ears syringed at our family GP (well actually

our ex GP, he's retired but still does things for DH..although after

this I'm not sure he will!)...

I was out shopping when I got a call on my mobile from DH's secretary

telling me to come home, DH wasn't well.

I rushed home to find him supine on the sofa, shirt soaked with sweat,

face green. He could barely talk. Apparently when syringing, the doc

had upset his inner ear balance and my DH was, bless him, basically

airsick/seasick/whatever sick.

That was around 11 this morning, it's now almost 3.30 pm. and he's

still prostrate on the same sofa, now with a blanket and quilt over

him, face just as green, still unable to move. The doc has spoken to

some ENT guy who told him to prescribe a certain tablet which

dissolves between gum and cheek. I ran out to get that and he has

taken the first one. Doc has been round to see him (obviously guilty

as hell!) and has taken his bp (normal) and pulse (a bit low).

This bring back the time we took a flight in a six seater aircraft

down to the Negev desert in Israel to visit a certain yeshivah whose

Rabbi was hoping DH would give a substantial donation. Tavya Zehava

and DH were violently airsick, Yeshaya and I were fine. T & Z

recovered, DH remained ill for several hours after we landed,

necessitating us camping out at the Rabbi's house with him lying

groaning in the host's bed, and taking the long route back to

Jerusalem by car after at least six hours recovery time.

Yeshaya *is* sympathetic but he has his eye on the main chance too,

how will Dad give him his money for Yeshivah if he's in THAT state?
