Guest guest
Ronnie .... welcome to our group. You are in the best place you can be as we fight our common disease. There are many here who have transplants and you will get responses from those who are helpful on transplant. I'm too old and opt out for transplant anyway. Too many other health problems. There are also MANY here from TX. I lived in Longview and I see you are close by in Shreveport. I'm so sorry you must now give up your practice. There is a lot of yourself invested there. I am a counselor and I remember closing the door for the last time as tho' it were last week. There is always someone here to answer a question or give support. How are your wife/daughters taking this news? How old are your girls? Welcome.... MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Guest guest
Ronnie, Welcome to Breathe Support. While I'm sorry you had reason to look for a group like this, since you did I'm glad you found us. How long ago were you diagnosed? I'm sorry you have to stop working due to this. Have you noticed any difference now that you know you are taking the Pirfenidone? Please keep us posted about the transplant evaluation. I hope all goes well and that this group can provide you with some of the support and friendship that we all need. Guest guest
Ronnie, Welcome to the "air Family'. We've got quite a group here. All ages, all over the world, differing types of PF, different treatments. We all share this disease in one of its 200+ forms and that bonds us instantly...we get it!! No explanations needed. I also had to retire from teaching due to this miserable disease. However, I keep very active with my pottery and my2 beautiful little grand daughters. I've posted pictures of my girls and my sculpture in the albums here. We've just celebrated 44 years of marriage! Mike likes to joke..."the best 22 years of his life!" Anyway...welcome again...we're always here to help and share. Hope your week-end is great. Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z 65, fibriotic NSIP/05/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! No, NSIP was not self-inflicted…I never smoked!
