I really don't know much about your non-profit but I have followed your

emails to the group. I am a retired lawyer with 20 years experience practicing

law with major U.S. lawfirms and as a federal prosecutor, and dealing with

people. I also understand a little about grants since my husband is on the

board of a private foundation (a small family foundation started by his

grandfather) and I am on the board of directors of a school which is involved

in

building significant capital for a new facility. I am in the middle of my

chemo

and I am very sick for 5 to 7 days but then I have a good week. If we can

talk, I am happy to try to help in any way I can. This is also my goal: to

get the message out to as many people as possible that this disease can be

curable and caught early. Think about how I may be of help and I am happy to

speak with you soon.

in California

Thanks everyone. There are changes. But they are all for screening at 50.

It is too little too late. But its a start.

I could use some help. In several ways. I need someone (or lots of

someones) to write grant requests. I need someone to make some phone calls for

ProjectMARCH. I've started a list of possible cheaper housing options but need

someone to call them to check them out. Also would like someone to call the

hotels in Washington DC and try to talk them into each donating 5-10 rooms

that weekend.

And if you feel up to running a fundraiser, even a small one.....

Here's two ideas. If you are near a sporting arena - get permission to come

and sell the bracelets and put up a donation jar or barrell. I'll ship the

bracelets to you.

Or talk a local movie theatre into letting you pass a popcorn box around for

donations just before the movie begins. They used to do that in the 30s and

40s and I think into the 50s.

Lastly, would someone take on getting the ProjectMARCH flyer to every

newspaper, radio and television station in your city, county or state?

[TheSemiColonClub] I'm Going to Be Posting Less for Awhile

Hi folks,

It's with deep sadness that I have to let you know that I will be posting

less and harder to reach for awhile. I have just never mastered meeting the

organizational needs, the funding needs, and the patient needs. Always one of

the two gets dropped. And patient needs are never one that I'm willing to

drop. I haven't had a paycheck yet this year. Which was okay while we could

meet our bills with other income.

I will still do this work before work, during lunch and in the evenings

(which isn't any different than now...LOL. So I guess I'll be working less

hard.) But because of this, patient needs will take a back seat for the first

time ever. What is critical is ProjectMARCH. We must screen all adults. No

one should be diagnosed with this cancer. It is a crime that so many are. It

is not okay to lose another Joe. Nor to allow the suffering of more than

130,000 when that suffer could have been prevented.

If a question isn't getting answered among the group and you need my input

please send it directly to my attention.

When I sit down and pray about it my whole heart says that this is where God

wants me. But somehow I am not making it work.

Please keep me in your prayers. I care very much what happens to each and

every one of you.
