Guest guest
Beth, I saw J. Fox's show on TLC last weekend. HIs attitude is amazing! And it was a boost for me to hear his experience. The other day, I discussed with the counselor all of my activities and she was impressed that I was so involved and that would help me manage any depression that I may have. Toodles! It ran on TLC and it may be on again at some point. If you notice it, take the hour and watch it. It's really quite wonderful. As you know Mr. Fox suffers from Parkinsons disease an incurable, progressive nervous system disorder. I had an uncle who died from Parkinsons. > It's of course very different from pulmonary fibrosis but the basic ideas of coping with chronic illness and the role of mental attitude are the same. At one point he talks about how the only thing he can't choose is whether to have Parkinsons, everything else is up to him. > > Just wanted to mention it...it's alot of good food for thought!> > Beth> Moderator> Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Dermatomyositis 11/08>
